Lean Manufacturing

Lean Manufacturing can be represented in two different ways. The figure shows a simplified model of Lean Manufacturing, with its two pillars—JIT and Jidoka—and other essential systems components. According to that model, the goal of the Lean System is to meet client needs as best as possible, supplying the highest quality products and services, at the lowest cost and with the shortest lead time, always ensuring a safe work environment and lifting worker morale.
